The Amber Chand Collection has launched The Ambassador of Peace campaign as a way to strengthen its support of talented and courageous craftswomen living in regions of conflict and post conflict.

"We are growing this company organically, one person at a time" remarks Amber Chand, Founder of the company, " and are committed to creating a sense of global community through our enterprise. Rather than seeing customers simply as transactional entities or as consumers, we see them as peace builders and ambassadors of peace, who through the simple act of purchasing a beautiful gift on the Collection, are sending a message of goodwill and kindness to the talented women who create them. We like to think of this as compassionate commerce, where, trade is experienced as a sacred exchange between the giver and the receiver."

The Campaign:

As an Ambassador of Peace we invite you to pledge to two simple actions. One, to share the mission of The Amber Chand Collection with friends and family, and the other, to purchase at least one beautiful gift, once a year, in support of these courageous women. In 2007, the company is planning to have 5000 Ambassadors of Peace so that it can continue to grow its business and support thousands of women in Cambodia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel/Palestine and Guatemala and other volatile regions of the world.
