Amber Chand keynote speaker at Women in Philanthrophy of Western Massachusetts Meeting

The Feminine Paradigm for Business

Amber Chand was invited by Women in Philanthropy of Western Massachusetts to speak on her work as an illustration of what she has termed the "feminine paradigm for business". The talk focused on ways in which the feminine paradigm is vitally needed to balance aggressive growth models of business as we step into the 21st century. She suggested that in order for businesses to become transformative models for social change they must incorporate feminine principles that are collaborative in nature, organic in structure, and deeply intuitive in the ways in which they operate in the world.

"During these bewildering times when we are experiencing the implosion of institutions and the collapse of of particular paradigms of thought or collective mindsets, it is critical that we allow ourselves the time to step into the deeper question. Rushing to find the answers when we have not spent the time asking these deeper questions will only leave us anchorless and in despair. We are indeed all explorers, stepping into an unfamiliar terrain, with very few guideposts to ease the journey. What are the questions we must now ask?" Amber spoke about the kinds of questions she is asking as she grows her business in support of women living in regions of conflict and post conflict, within the context of the feminine paradigm.
